Board of DirectorsGerhard Maynard, Chair: (Executive Director, KidSafe Project Society): With a background in organizational development, programming, strategic planning, and people management, Gerhard has held positions such as the Regional Manager for Learning Through the Arts in Western Canada at the Royal Conservatory of Music and most recently the Director of Programming at Arts Umbrella in Vancouver. He has a Masters in Leadership from Royal Roads University.
| Barb Clausen, Vice-Chair: (Community Engagement, DanceHouse): Clausen has been working in dance since 1980. She was one of the founders and the first Executive Director of Vancouver's Dance Centre. She has managed dance companies, worked as a Dance Officer at the Canada Council, and programmed dance in a variety of venues in Vancouver. She founded New Works and ran that organization for 17 years, until May 2010. Working with Jim Smith, Barb founded DanceHouse, Vancouver's only large-scale contemporary dance series. Barb and Jim shared the position of Producer at DanceHouse for the first four seasons, and now Barb has responsibility for DanceHouse's community engagement activities.
| Andrea Gunnlaugson Furlan, Secretary: Andrea trained with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Winnipeg’s School of Contemporary Dancers before moving to Vancouver in 1993. Over the span of a 20 year career, she has had the honour of working with some of the most prominent local and national choreographers and dance companies in Canada. She has garnered much respect, as a performing artist, teacher, adjudicator, emerging choreographer and rehearsal director receiving numerous grants and awards of recognition along the way.
Andrea was appointed Regional Program Officer of the Dancer Transition Resource Centre in 2004, running the BC branch of this amazing national organization. Not only does she work for the DTRC, she is a member of the DTRC, CADA BC and the CDA among many other dance societies. Andrea was a founding member of Made in BC-Dance on Tour, CADA BC, and ‘the 605 Collective’. She currently sits on the ActSafe Live Performing Arts Committee, the CDA Board of Directors and Made in BC.

| Sabrina Mehra Furminger, Director-at-Large:(Arts Publicist at Various Organizations, Writer at Various Publications) With a wealth of publicity and freelance writing experience, and a vast network of media contacts, Sabrina Furminger crafts marketing campaigns for festivals, exhibitions, theatrical productions, small businesses, and visual effects companies throughout the Lower Mainland.
| Morgan Westcott, Director-at-Large: (Provincial Communications Officer at LinkBC). Morgan is an experienced tourism developer and marketer in her home province of British Columbia. Work to date includes copywriting and editing of industry guidebooks, marketing the tourism education sector, promotions for cultural tourism attractions, managing events, and running a busy cafe. Morgan works for LinkBC - a network of colleges and universities with tourism/hospitality programs across the province. She holds an MA in Tourism Management.
| Alexandra Rutherford, Director-at-Large: (Principal, Jim Green Consulting). Alexandra is Principal at Jim Green Consulting (‘JGC’), a boutique family-run consultancy dedicated to community and social development. The organisation's mission is to continue building inclusive communities as envisioned by the consultancy's founder, the late City Councillor Jim Green.
