This Crazy Show

Vision Impure

This Crazy Show presents the art of artifice and alienation within a culture obsessed with authenticity or its pretense. In this work there is a fine line between pain and pleasure: a fetishization of sorts of something glamorous and beautifully twisted: a monster beautified. From this work emerges the concept/ image of a human being as a kind of animal that can simultaneously take in these detached and at times extreme ways of being, yet remain rooted within the realm of ‘humanity’.

Employing themes of vision and perception, Vision Impure creates performances that explore the intricacies of human relationships and the dynamic tension that move us. Vision Impure reflects the intimate concerns, ideas and attitudes that shape our relationships to each other and ourselves.
